What is SimpleSox?
A SimpleSox System is an adjustable fabric ductwork system assembled with pre-made components readily available for purchase online. The versatility of a SimpleSox System is unmatched as you can easily adjust both the volume and direction of air, as well as the location of where air will be dispersed, both during and after installation.
A SimpleSox System consists of up to 13 standard parts (see drawing below) available in five diameters (12”, 16”, 20”, 24”, and 28”) to deliver up to 6000 CFM per run. Each system has standard and optional components to meet your airflow and layout needs.
SimpleSox Systems are configurable up to 14 airflow volumes and a total of 63 combinations considering orifice size, orientation, and the number of orifices activated.
SimpleSox Systems are intended for simple, open ceiling applications using straight runs with or without 90 degree elbows or twists. They can be used as an alternative to metal ductwork and diffuser systems in traditional heating and ventilating applications, including some conditioned environments. SimpleSox are available in both Non-Porous and Porous fabric options. Non-Porous can be used as a replacement for single-wall metal ductwork. Porous can be used as a replacement for insulated metal ductwork for applications where condensation may be an issue. Typical applications are light industrial and retail, but can include many others.
The unique feature of a SimpleSox System is the Adjustable Air Outlet (AA0). Click on "AAO Feature" on the left to learn more.
Some newer options to choose from include:
-
A Twisty to twist around beams, pipes, and other obstacles in the SimpleSox path.
-
A Reducer to transition to a smaller diameter SimpleSox.
-
A Cross to direct air to areas perpendicular to the main run. The Cross can also be used as a Tee by simply adding an Endcap.
Specifications
